Last Friday, May 10th, as part of UniPiaget's Academic Week, the first edition of the "Club de Lectura en Español" (Spanish Reading Club) was presented, promoted by the Spanish Lectureship at UniPiaget with the support of the Embassy of Spain in Cape Verde.

Under the motto "¡Leemos en español!" (We read in Spanish!), the aim is to encourage all reading enthusiasts to participate in this club, starting on May 23rd at 6:30 PM. The club will consist of three sessions, scheduled every fifteen days, featuring selected readings of three short stories by different contemporary Spanish authors. "The act of reading, often conceived as an individual and solitary activity, will become a moment of intercultural sharing," said Dr. Rebeca Castañer, Spanish Lecturer at UniPiaget.

Another highlight of this Reading Club is its inclusive nature, as the selected readings have been adapted into audiobook format for participants with visual impairments who wish to join this activity.
