Professor Ana Moniz took part in the publication of the book/e-book "Psychosocial rehabilitation in Portuguese-speaking countries" together with two colleagues. She was also involved in writing the first chapter of the book, entitled Panorama da Saúde Mental-Cabo verde. According to the World Health Organization, mental health has to do with the well-being according to which the individual develops their personal abilities, manages to cope with stress and contributes to the community in which they are inserted.

According to a note published on the social network, the number of mentally ill people on the streets of the city of Praia has been increasing every day and as a result has become a "concern at national level" because they have difficulty accessing healthcare.
